2012 Sketch Dump + Nanowrimo: Half Way Mark

Hanging in there. Since I'm using the Reverse Nanowrimo Method it should all be downhill from here....but that won't stop me from writing more than I need to while I'm in the zone!

Whoops! Forgot to add to this! Well I've officially wrote over 40k! I was able to pull off another 20k this week by writing 6k yesterday which happens to be my personal best for my daily word count. The official word count for the personal best is 6,224 which beats out the previous 4,330. I wasn't sure I was going to make the word goal but I'm extremely proud to have done it. :D The current official word count to date right now is 41,248. I'm writing a lot more than I thought I was going to do which I think is a good thing.

When I hit 50k I'm considering whether or not to continue writing or stopping and writing a decent outline before I continue writing...I'm torn because I don't really know where I'm going with the story but I also want to keep writing while I can and am in the spirit. We'll see what happens when I hit 50k which I expect to be some time next week. :D

Random Old Sketches and Junowrimo Update

More old sketches where I wished that I had dated them. XD Most are old but some of them are dated. lol

I've update the comment system with Disqus so that it'll be easier for you guys to post and for me to reply. I'm sorry I don't reply to you guys even though I want to but it's hard to do it through blogger so I usually try to reply through Twitter or some other means. lol I don't think you guys mind. Still it's a bother so I installed this so hopefully this makes it much easier for you guys. :D

Wasn't able to get through reading all my books before they were due but that's ok. I'll return them and get them out again later. That's the beauty of the wonderful library system. ^_~ I really need to read some of the books that I want to read before they are due. lol

Junowrimo is going ok, I was doing great but slacked horribly this past weekend. Right now I'm about 4k behind but lots of things came up this weekend and I just couldn't get into gear with writing. I'm hoping to catch up so I can make my word count this week! :D Still haven't worked on an outline, may need to set aside time sometime this week to actually do that. lol

Old (Before-I-Started-Dating-my-Work) Sketches - 2006-2008

Wow, sorry guys, I keep falling behind on my weekly posts! >_<;; I have to work on that.

The first dated sketch in this post was in 2008 but I think these started in 2006 or 2007 before I thought to learn to date my work. haha I regret it now since it would have been good to see when I started them. I'm the type that takes forever to get through a sketchbook so if you're like me and you're reading this now and you don't date your work, do it now, you'll be happy that you did later in life when you refer back to them! If you start doing that then I've done my artist civil duty today. ^_~

Lately I've been working but I've picked up the writing project for JuNoWriMo which is basically NaNoWriMo in June! I was actually going to do the CampNaNo in July but decided why not start now?! lol That's a good and bad thing. I wanted a good outline before I started writing but that kept getting pushed off so I decided to just start writing and change things later. lol So far so good, I've been able to keep up but I want to stay ahead but I'm running out of material. Pulling things off from the top of my head. haha Still it's good fun, if not crazy illogical, sometimes. Going to attempt the July CampNaNo after June so it's going to be some crazy two months.

Are any of you crazies going to attempt July CampNaNo right after JuNoWrimo? Hope you all are taking care of yourselves. :D

A Blast From The Past - Sketch Dump

Another blast from the past! Sorry wasn't able to come up with a good post so have an old sketch dump! Please don't mind the ugliness and all the head shots for the first two images!

I think these are dated in 2006 or 2007. XD It was before I started dating my images which was around 2008. XD These are another group of really old sketches of my characters. lol I still need to work on my consistency and proportions. XD It's is also about when I started forcing myself to sketch with pen. Just throwing this up here to show that I started from horribleness but am slowly training and teaching myself to draw. :D

Pencil Sketches

Back from Florida! Expect an update on things this Friday. Sorry this is late, I still don't know how to schedule posts. -_-;;

I wanna say this was 2010-2011...lol More old smudgy sketches. I apologize for the quality but you can still see it. XD This is when I still sketched in pencil and before I knew about fixative. >_<;; As most of you who follow me regularly already know that I sketch with pen now-a days (they smudge less and I force myself to make every stroke count :D).

I think around this time I was finally finding my own style and sketching more decently. :D Was also starting to figure out and define my characters some more. I was also practicing filling out my pages instead of one character/element per page. I also went back and filled out all the pages I did that in my sketchbooks so that is also sort of why I'm taking forever to finish them. XD Gotta make every space count, right? :D

Old/Ugly Sketch Dump

As the title says, this is a small sketch dump of old or ugly sketches. This post is quite embarrassing but this is pretty much how some of my sketch pages look like. lol Not all are this ugly but they can be uglier sometimes. XD

The first image below is a character I was drawing that my brother and I created but turned out she has too much attitude than what he wanted in the character. He wanted a more timid character so that she could grow. I like my girls strong. lol

Ok, been procrastinating the last month or so. No surprise.
Ok, I guess I didn't procrastinate as much as I thought. lol I actually finished the whole script for Blindfolded Love! Ha ha! Kept hitting road blocks the last few attempts but I was finally able to conclude an ending! I'm so glad too. It's about time. Now the thumb-nailing should begin, although, I want to have someone re-read and revise the script a bit to see that it makes sense. Might ask my family if they aren't busy. XD

1st Post of the Year + Back to School

First post of the year! Yay!

Here are a bunch of random doodles/sketches. lol I'm not going to describe all the characters, I'll let you figure them out. Plus I have the webcomics tagged. lol

The animal sketches below were supposed to be 'cute' clay charms that I was going to make. I wanted to sketch out the designs before I did them....still need to make them.

So far I've found myself working a little more consistently on a few comics instead of jumping around so much. Namely: Blindfolded Love, Beauty & the Beast(title still pending), Unleash, 2Reflections, and Stolen Kiss. Although, I'm proud to say that I've been working mostly on the first two. :D I'm glad I've been able to focus on only a few instead of switching every so often. lol Yeah I know I still have problems. XD

August One-Shot Challenge

I do exist!

So sad....I didn't update again the previous month....been so crammed with school but no worries. I'll be done in about 3 weeks! X3 I can't wait!!! The last 3 weeks look pretty bad, well at least in MIS310...T_T It's a lot of papers and a presentation. Also the h/w and the labs for COMP121 is sooo time consuming...T_T Trying to start early so I can get it done and over with asap! But we'll see....^_^;;

Let's see, for the image....sorry for the laziness, I didn't crop the images. lol I need to stop doing that...lol Oh yeah, to the left is some 3/4 body shots of Skava and Rhyaz(top) from 2Reflections and then Niella and Kuwei(bottom) from Blindfolded Love. The designs are purposely simple so I can finish at least one manga. OTL lol

PI Sketches + BL progress

A quick drawing of a dog character...not sure if I'll keep the name Pocket. Seems too generic...might change it to something else more clever. Doesn't look like it but he's supposed to be really tiny so that he can fit into your pocket. Hence the name Pocket. XD

A story I was attempting to write as a one shot but never could finish the outline or come up with a good climax. Still working on this.
