Finished Sketchbook + 2011 Sketches

Ok, so I meant to have a more substantial post this past week but before I knew it, it was already Tuesday so you guys get a sketch post! I also meant to write up something during the weekend but I got distracted....>_<;; I know, bad excuse. Anyways, still trying to get back into the swing of things.

I was able to focus and on getting a tiny bit of inking for Citlali's story and some toning for Eilam's story. I also was able to write a bit of Blindfolded Love but nothing all remarkable considering the time I had to do it. I spent most of my weekend reading or on the computer browsing, not doing anything as productive as I would like. Hm....still I'm happy to have made myself do something, even if it wasn't much. :D

Eh, I wasn't really able to do Janowrimo at all so I was hoping to catch up during a Nanowrimo in February instead. So far, still not working out the way I wanted. I still lack focus and motivation but I'm getting a bit better. I keep thinking about other stories or projects I have which is probably the most distracting for me. Do any of you have the same problem? I need to learn to focus on one project at a time but I'm really horrible at it. So I focus on 2-3 projects so I don't get bored and I'm making a little practice on at least one of them. lol

24 Hour Comic Brainstorm 2011

Heyo! Sorry for missing a post last week but I was able to get something up on Saturday which I hope you'll check out. Apparently this CampNanoWriMo is really throwing me off. I've been trying to get this novel idea written down and trying to keep up with it so I've been slacking on everything else. lol It's harder than I thought it would be to write this. Next time I think I'll need a tighter outline. The outline I wrote for this story is really loose and then I keep adding more new complex elements which I'm not sure where I'm taking it. XD I guess that's what revisions will be for. haha

Ok the image below is basically how I structured out my 24 Hour Comic for 2011. I'm actually still in the process of cleaning and toning all the pages. I'm about half way done but still, need to get that done before the end of the year at least. I was hoping by the end of the month but we'll see how that goes.

24 Hour Comic Day Lessons Learned

Haha, I know this is way behind but this is the closest I've been to finishing a comic. :D I know it was supposed to be done in 24 hours but I wanted to complete it anyways even if it's several months later. XD I'm almost done, just need to do a few more pages of backgrounds and cleaning up then tone it. It's a relief to be almost done since I now want to work on other more serious comic stories I wanted to do.

Although the story is a bit random and incomplete I'm still happy to have it almost completed. I think I'm sort of getting the hang of creating comic pages. I think I needed to find my rhythm in creating and once I got used to it; I was able to pump out more pages. :D I'm still experimenting with style and just have the story penciled but I plan on darkening the lines in Photoshop and tone on the computer. Although it's not a serious story, I still wanted to practice it as if it were a serious story. I have improved my art I think from a long time ago. I know I still have lots to learn but I'm happy to be able to see an improvement.

24 Hour Comic Day Progress

The image is the concept/brainstorm I did when I did my 24 Hour Comic (which I still am in the process of finishing). Here's a preview, if you can even decipher it. lol The two main characters, there's another character I added spontaneously who isn't in there. Sorry it's not much but I still hope you enjoy!

Ugh, have not been following my game plan at all...Can't believe it's December already. I'm not going to do something crazy like try to get a comic project done this month. Although, if I can that would be good but I'm going to extend it to January. I still have some art trades and secret santa gifts to finish before the year ends anyways.

I have revised my GTD Game Plan. Now I'm trying to break things up into daily, weekly, and monthly goals. Hopefully I'll attempt to get more serious about my comics and illustration work. :)

Sorry haven't been too active lately. Real life things have been dragging me down a little. Trying to be a little more productive. I opened my new online store selling prints at aisazia.storenvy.com if you are interested. I already have the prints ready, just need an address to ship them to. ^_~ 

24 Hour Comics Day Prep

Sorry no sketch page today, I'll make up for it by adding 2 next time. ^_~

Slowly working on Eilam's story, I've got about 10 pages penciled but I didn't do any backgrounds as I suck at them. I also need to plan it out which is why I'm just drawing the figures first. XD It should be 26 pages so almost half way through pencils. I plan on just scanning those in and edit them on the computer. Also I want to add the word bubbles and text on the computer as I don't really trust my own handwriting. lol The progress was really the past week or so, I suddenly felt like I needed to do something. I'm happy that I'm getting it done! Need to keep this motivation up! XD

I was going to do a challenge for myself this past Sunday to do 12 comic pages in 12 hours but I couldn't because my family decided to celebrate my parent's anniversary with a lunch that day instead of the actual date on Friday, so I couldn't do it. lol That was going to be in preparation of the 24 Hour Comics Day because I wanted to see if I could do it. I'm kinda excited for it since I've never had a true all-nighter before. I'm weird, I know. lol I don't think I've ever stayed up 24 hours straight, I always found a way to sleep. XD I think the least amount of sleep I've ever had was 3 hours. lol Hopefully I can finish the pages. I've never done it before but we'll see! I'm going to do my best! I hope it'll be fun too! lol Hopefully I won't be grumpy either cause sometimes I do if i don't get enough sleep. ^_^;; Oh if you want to follow my progress I'll be tweeting on my twitter(twitter.com/aisazia) if you're interested in seeing me either succeed or fail. No photos though because I don't have a sophisticated phone. XD

New Layout

Whoo finally added a new layout to this. Hope you guys like it! lol I hope to update this blog at least once a month with something. With a pic or at least how my progress is going with at least one comic.

Anyways, didn't get to do the 24 Hour Comic challenge that was yesterday. Ended up going to a friend's place for the Moon Festival. It was fun. I want to do the 24 Hour Comic Challenge next year but I want to finish at least one comic before I attempt to do the challenge. Can't wait to see all the entries though! I hope not to have an excuse next year....I should still be in school but hopefully it won't be as hard...

Oh my b-day is coming up! October 14! I'm starting to get old....T_T
