Caged Cranes Giveaway Winner and Nanowrimo Ramble

The for my Caged Cranes giveaway is

Jennifer Hall!

I've emailed the winner and you have a week to contact me again before it goes to someone else.

Thanks for entering everyone! This was a very successful giveaway. I will have to do another one sometime. Hope you all have a great November!

Speaking of November, I've fallen a bit behind on Nanowrimo which is bad. I should have worked on the outline some more. Right now I'm just pulling stuff out of my butt. haha Still I'm trying to catch up. I think I can do it. Just need to sit my butt down and type more often. I'm horrible about starting but once I do I'm good. It's bad that I skipped a few days. I hope to not fall behind again once caught up. Really want to get ahead if I can but we'll see. If you're doing it let me know! Add me! My username is "Aisazia" of course. :D

Good luck to my other Nanowrimo comrades! Hope you guys are succeeding more than me! lol

Review: Caged Cranes Notebook Design + Giveaway

Finally! Got some pictures of the new notebook design I had printed on little notebooks. They are about 3.5x5 inches, so perfect for a pocket notebook or purse! It's paper is made from 100% recycled paper and is printed with soy-based ink. It has 32 blank pages for your creative use.

I created the design in Illustrator and had it printed professionally.

The idea was inspired by those situations where I have an idea and sometimes I would cage it up in my head later because I didn't have a way to preserve the idea. I decided to go with paper cranes flying out of the cage since they mean happiness, honor, loyalty, good luck, and peace. I thought those were good representations of ideas so I used that in place of real birds.

Close up shots of the notebook.

I left the front blank so people could DIY. As a creative person, I would give it a title and decorate it. I haven't decorated mine yet but I will post pictures when I do.

I had a person tell me it's perfect since they were left handed. I didn't even consider that but I'm glad that the person could feel more at ease using it.

The binding just uses staples but it lies pretty flat.

Not completely sure if it's fountain pen friendly, I think it handles ink fine but not wet inks with broad nibs. I haven't experimented with mine yet but if you're curious enough I could try it out in an extended review or update this review. :D

Like what you see? Great! Then enter below to win one! In honor of my birthday on Sunday (Oct 14) and since I've been delaying the release of these notebooks I decided to give one away to one of my wonderful readers!

If you don't or can't wait to win one you can buy one from my online store! I'm holding a FREE SHIPPING special for the premiere of these notebooks until November 1, 2012 (US only)! If you buy something from my store it increases your chances of winning in the giveaway! Don't forget to come back here to claim the extra points!

Winner have already been notified.

(Note to previous winners: Don't worry I haven't forgotten you. I'm just going to be a bit slow. I will get them done, so please don't worry!)

Thank you to everyone who has entered! Unfortunately, I've decided to discontinue my giveaways as I've been falling behind on my sketches and don't want you guys to have to wait a year before getting them.

Some of you maybe already noticed the absence from my Twitter or when I didn't post a new giveaway. I apologize to everyone who was hoping for a sketch, but stick around, I will hold random giveaways whenever I finish these other sketches or when I'm in the mood. Oh I created a notebook design which I think some of you would love. Took the pictures finally so I'll be sharing it on my blog soon!

Thanks again! I love you all!

It can range from simple to more complex depending on how I feel. Sorry about the inconsistency but this should be fun for me and you. :D

You only get one character. The minimum you will get is a black and white shaded bust sketch with little to no background. It can be traditional or digital. I will try to state it, if you want a traditional and want the original sent to you please let me know. (You'll have to pay for shipping and handling.) If I'm feeling inspired I could sketch up to a full body with a background and flat color, again it depends on how I feel.

Project Updates and AT Sketches

I've been working sporadically on different projects as of late. Below is a list of projects I've more or less been working on. Notice that I've decided to take some of my comic projects and am writing them as novels instead.

I decided that I could describe the story better in words with supplementary illustrations than illustrating it all because it would be so detailed. lol Not that you guys know or anything but I'm just letting you know. Still trying to carry out the others in comic form so no worries there. :D

Current Projects

Cryptic Treasures - Novel

Breaking - Novel

Blindfolded Love

Twisted: Wildly Charming

24 Hour Comic

Unleash

Eilam JCP Story

Citlali JCP Story
Stolen Kiss
