<div style="font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal;">
Decided to list some of my thoughts I've had during the week to give you a little more insight on my progress and/or struggles.</div>
<ul style="font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal;">
<li>When I knew I was ahead I started to slack more on the writing because I had the reassurance that I was ahead but once I was ahead I wanted to stay ahead. I was able to keep this up pretty well till the last week.</li>
<li>I forced myself to write when I wasn't in the mood and most times was able to hit my goals. The only times I had 0 words was because I wasn't inspired or was tired so I didn't even try. Lesson: Write anyways because some words are better than none. But I'm also in the camp where I don't like forcing myself to write every day or I'll get burnt out....</li>
<li>I ended up writing random scenes during the end of this week because I wasn't sure where the story was going because a plot point kind of derailed me. Also I didn't clearly plan the characters so I wrote and named them as I went.</li>
<li>Overall, still a fun story to write and will complete. It ended up being much longer than expected which is funny because I always thought I was an underwriter. I was supposed to write 2 short stories but I got 1 unfinished novella.</li>
<li>Still enjoyed writing the draft though. I know it will require a lot of editing and refinement but all stories do. :)</li>

Decided to list some of my thoughts I've had during the week to give you a little more insight on my progress and/or struggles.<br />
<br /></div>
<ul style="font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal;">
<li>Seems I'm able to write the amount of words I need (667) daily in about a half hour to 45 minutes depending on how motivated or inspired I am.</li>
<li>I can consistently write about 700 words a day, maybe even more but I don't want to push myself too much or I may get burned out. This seems like an acceptable daily word count but I may up it to 800 after the month if I can.</li>
<li>I'm realizing I'm using a bunch of filler words and gestures. I'm going to need to edit a lot.</li>
<li>The story isn't even nearly done, it will likely be a novella.</li>
<li>I thought I'd spend more time writing during my vacation this week but I ended working on other projects I've been wanting to do for months which is great because it will help support my writing. I still was able to go above the word goals but I wanted to finish it by then but I mostly spent it trying to recover and relax.</li>
<li>Part of the previous bullet, I'm planning to move blogs after I finish with Campnano. All my content will move to the new blog so please keep a look out! I'll be announcing it on my social media as well! I'm excited to share it with you guys!</li>

<br /></div>
<ul style="font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal;">
<li>Dictating is still easier than typing everything out, even when I have to make corrections.</li>
<li>Unfortunately when I'm so focused on writing, I don't always realize that the dictation of the words didn't come out right so I didn't fix it. Still don't have the time to correct it all since I'm typically writing right before bed. This will be fun to clean up during revisions/edits. / end sarcasm</li>
<li>Missed a day because I spent the afternoon on Friday to hang out with a friend. It was fun and I needed it but fortunately I was able to get ahead enough that it didn't even make a dent to my word goal. Unfortunately, that also means I no longer have a buffer. lol</li>
<li>As always, I write best when I can visualize what's going on before I write or dictate the scene.</li>
<li>This story will no longer be a short story but likely a novelette or maybe even a novella.</li>
</ul>

Decided to list some of my thoughts I've had during the week to give you a little more insight on my progress and/or struggles.<br />
<br /></div>
<ul style="font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal;">
<li>Dictating using Google Document Voice typing is super convenient but the recognition is not bad but not great for story telling. I think it'd be good for basic things like lists but for story telling or complex words it's a little frustrating and I have to delete words that were interpreted wrong. </li>
<li>It's a bit annoying when it automatically capitalizes some words and it doesn't have a verbal command for using quotation marks so I have to type it in manually.</li>
<li>I apparently mumble or slur my words so I need to slow down for the words to recognize but it does make it easier than typing everything. This also helps with my articulation and pronunciation since I don't really like to talk much. It doesn't always recognize the words I say accurately and I don't really have time to revise the day I write it so some words are off.</li>
<li>I had been a bit worried about the story since I had a rough outline but didn't know a lot of the details but so far it's been working out. Adding characters as I go has been fun.</li>
<li>The story may be longer than a short story, I've just started the story and already at half the word count a short story should be so it might be a novelette.</li>
</ul>

I know! An update post on my writing has been long overdue. Apologies!<br>
<br>
I've been slowly making progress on revisions for my latest WIP, I've decided I'm changing the name of the novel but the title is still to be determined. The story has changed and grown more than I expected since I started it. It's funny, I thought this story would be quick and easy to write but several years later....nope. To be fair, I was busy doing other things and living my life but now that I had time away I am able to be more objective in my revisions but I struggle with identifying how to make it better.<br>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
All right guys, if you know me then you know I like to be frugal. If you've been following me on social media then you know I've been playing around with watercolors which can be pretty expensive if you go for the artist quality which you should totally do. It's worth it. But why don't I use it here? Well my friend, read on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGA_TBuu3hzTAhqy1YrcYGv3YfyStojT85CpiUT9YfNxSzcTimyG0dLYYm5G_dhz1mKaA9raM8ukVTOHfsoXn2ZKRF2KlVD9Y-brwqoK7oqOhOveVukAjAN1MuVgNnear7vqSBdrEVLHM/s1600/IMG_20180310_082128.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGA_TBuu3hzTAhqy1YrcYGv3YfyStojT85CpiUT9YfNxSzcTimyG0dLYYm5G_dhz1mKaA9raM8ukVTOHfsoXn2ZKRF2KlVD9Y-brwqoK7oqOhOveVukAjAN1MuVgNnear7vqSBdrEVLHM/s320/IMG_20180310_082128.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
Ok, the main reason I picked this up at my local dollar store is that I wanted a compact and affordable travel watercolor palette. I've seen loads of people get clever and use Altoid tins and old make up palettes as their travel kits. I thought I'd try it. Whenever I use this up I'll replace it with my artist quality watercolors.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Let me start with the disclaimers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
What this DIY eyeshadow to watercolor paint <b>IS NOT</b>:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>Quality paint (I do not know the lightfastness quality of these pigments but expect it to be next to nil as this is eye shadow and not meant to last forever. But it's fun if you enjoy a little extra something in your art journals.)</li>
<li>Expert opinion (I've not mixed pigments before and have little knowledge other than what I've researched online)</li>
<li>Your results may vary depending on the type of eye shadow you use because each brand makes it differently</li>
</ul>
<div>
Materials I used:</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Eye shadow palette</li>
<li>Water</li>
<li>Honey (or an alternative binder like gum arabic)</li>
<li>Plastic knife</li>
<li>Synthetic brush</li>
<li>Ceramic plate</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
I don't enjoy wearing make up so I knew going in that I'd never use these eye shadows even though I love the colors. I also didn't want the powders to go to waste and decided to give this experiment a try.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
It was really easy to take a plastic knife and pop out the eye shadows. You can see how powdery they were when I scraped them out.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH5-cYENQmEVsFEtg07meUc8nbwr8c5xx8gq0GtQo6lrCOxJ9m7Fq68Vn9azG5pMass9H0DBfbTSDqyCBi9U_0qm9N9HwJP5MxSoKqLOatCK1dHazbHo7qOeWAQoUkHXER271tkcbC4aA/s1600/IMG_20180310_092030.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH5-cYENQmEVsFEtg07meUc8nbwr8c5xx8gq0GtQo6lrCOxJ9m7Fq68Vn9azG5pMass9H0DBfbTSDqyCBi9U_0qm9N9HwJP5MxSoKqLOatCK1dHazbHo7qOeWAQoUkHXER271tkcbC4aA/s320/IMG_20180310_092030.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here I started to play around with proportions and the best way to mix the pigments. This is part of the fun. It seemed easier to mix the honey first then slowly add water until it becomes like a paint-like texture.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used honey because it was on hand and seemed like a good idea because there are a few artist quality watercolors who use honey as a binding agent. I could probably use other items to make the pigments stay better but since it was just an experiment so I wanted to keep the ingredients minimal.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now my proportions might be different from yours depending on the amount of pigments but I ended up using about two dime-sized drops of honey then mixed it with the synthetic brush and then slowly added drops of water till it ended up the consistency I wanted. It might be better to add as little water as possible or it'll get watery like the jade green (at the top of the picture) in the picture below. I'd say about 2 parts of honey for 1 part of water.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_PVJeHztownjZ_ZUpX_cqQfx2U-jFPeX0WGfrA2pxfaka_w8rT5xwumUtX_FmoGUT79h2SOnCbeLLZYa_sJe1FQOtH4ljwSsRO7rH3pwt36ayP1uaqw_Ephe2e0gu_gjycm4KOqZ7EKI/s1600/IMG_20180310_092046.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_PVJeHztownjZ_ZUpX_cqQfx2U-jFPeX0WGfrA2pxfaka_w8rT5xwumUtX_FmoGUT79h2SOnCbeLLZYa_sJe1FQOtH4ljwSsRO7rH3pwt36ayP1uaqw_Ephe2e0gu_gjycm4KOqZ7EKI/s320/IMG_20180310_092046.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It took a few hours to do this, mostly because I had no idea what I needed, what I was doing and the proportions to put it. It got easier and I was doing this while watching some TV shows. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Below you can see how the paints looked when I put them back in the palette.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjTwo6I8JDDI7IPqGVTRbuggCY8KYXolyNjxnBDt1yIobEmYAJFdj54KFrsjrB2eR5R7uJI2qzMJy3udSRpfGQkcljXE7MHzJ61LQ7np0AhNBDgnj_mdHpOeWCJy9gUURGaGBgBznCrZw/s1600/IMG_20180310_112453.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjTwo6I8JDDI7IPqGVTRbuggCY8KYXolyNjxnBDt1yIobEmYAJFdj54KFrsjrB2eR5R7uJI2qzMJy3udSRpfGQkcljXE7MHzJ61LQ7np0AhNBDgnj_mdHpOeWCJy9gUURGaGBgBznCrZw/s320/IMG_20180310_112453.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Now I didn't take any photos of the paints in use but I can say it works for the most part.<br />
<br />
Results:<br />
<br />
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li>I can say that the paint does work and lay down on the paper BUT <b><u>once they dry they become powdery again</u></b>. (It's a bit reminiscent of using pastels when blending. They do lay on the paper a bit streaky but it's easily fixed by blending with a finger. I don't think you can lay more layers on top of these so probably use this as a last step in your art work.) </li>
<li>The eye shadow may rub on the other side of the paper because of the above. These would be fun to use in an art journal or just for fun. You could probably use a fixative if you wanted the powders to stay put afterwards.</li>
<li>Colors may shift and the eye shadows aren't as pearlescent on paper as they can be on skin and I suspect it's because of the honey.</li>
</ul>
<div>
One last thing, you could probably spray paint the palette white before you put the paint back in if you want a white mixing well. It doesn't bother me yet but I can fix that once I'm done with these paints and it's warmer outside.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
That's all I've got for you today! Let me know what you think! Have you tried doing this before? Was yours more successful? I'd love to hear how you do it! I have other palettes I need to do this to. I'd love any insight on improvements!</div>
<br />
<br />
Till next time friends!<br />

Yay! Another notebook review! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm actually still using this notebook as a catch all but I have realized that it's been so long I think this company is out of business....ALTHOUGH you can find some on Amazon at the moment but some are sold out. I thought it was worth it to still do a mini review for those of you who like to be more eco-friendly with their supplies.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
First off, I won this notebook as a giveaway from Diane at the <a href="http://pocketblonde.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">PocketBlonde blog</a> and had been wanting to try this type of notebook since I first heard of it.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
Seems good! I can't really say that I can tell there are differences in the paper quality but it did hold up to my fountain pen inks fairly well as long as it wasn't a super wet ink. I loved the spacing of the lines, perfect for the size I write but those with larger handwriting may find it cramped.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
There were 3 types of printed pages: Lined, Grid (I think, their website is no longer up to compare), and Blank.<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The notebook was shrink wrapped but I got excited and opened it before snapping a photo. This is the way the notebook is packaged with the small wrap around band over the notebook.</div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There is a rough cotton bookmark included but I think it's a bit thick and rough for those who may be sensitive to texture. Overall it was ok with me but I did not like running it through my fingers when moving it through the pages. Definitely prefer a smoother option like satin but cotton would be more eco-friendly.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The elastic outside is similar to the bookmark. Rough texture but thicker than the bookmark. Now I didn't really end up using this feature much. I do have a problem that within a few days of using the closure elastic it just popped out the back of the notebook! I tried to feed it back in the hole and used some Elmer's glue and it did work for awhile but then it came right back out! I had to use duct tape to keep it from popping out again but then I decided to not use the elastic as I ended up putting it in my traveler's notebook instead. I haven't had any issues with pages falling out with the adhesives which is good.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I suspect that it may have had to do with the water based adhesive and maybe it was the humidity that made it not stick but I am not certain. Just something to be aware of with this notebook.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There is a back pocket which I haven't really used other than to store the notebook band information and maybe a note or two.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There is this feature I like but it's no longer available. You can register your notebook online and find out the origins of the notebook, I think it's neat to know where it came from. Plus, if it gets lost, a person can look up the owner of the notebook with that bar code at the bottom. I never actually used this feature either but I liked the idea behind it.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9Y-TUVtaLAHUG8PwxuQMnc6K4gFQlBbFhyphenhyphenzAg9ajuL6mZG_92u5zvt-TJ5G4W0aoxhxsQOr3yav4MyfT5Zj0upn_M7_KaBRY02GTS7qxD1bXN2KcpX0mnVS9U4JIsA_4wjeuHsAAQ_P0/s1600/P1030244.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9Y-TUVtaLAHUG8PwxuQMnc6K4gFQlBbFhyphenhyphenzAg9ajuL6mZG_92u5zvt-TJ5G4W0aoxhxsQOr3yav4MyfT5Zj0upn_M7_KaBRY02GTS7qxD1bXN2KcpX0mnVS9U4JIsA_4wjeuHsAAQ_P0/s320/P1030244.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Overall, I like the notebook and how the paper handles my fountain pen ink. The build was questionable with their water based adhesives but otherwise I was pleased using this notebook. I am a bit sad to see the company has gone out of business. Although the prices of the notebooks were a tad pricey for me, a medium sized notebook (approx 5x8 inches) cost $14.95, I was able to buy a few more notebooks before the company completely disappeared. There are <a href="https://amzn.to/2KYusGL">still a few up if you're interested</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you're looking to be more eco-friendly, this notebook is something you might want to look for while they have supplies. I haven't really seen any other notebooks like this in the market so it'd be good to pick up if this is the type of thing you're interested in!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Just finished my latest journal! I'm so excited! I love starting new notebooks but I wasn't really in love with this one, it's by <a href="https://amzn.to/2IRP1YV" target="_blank">Markings</a> from Staples but it only cost $5 but I still made every dollar count! This one took me almost 4 years to complete, since March of 2014. I used to have time to journal near daily but that slid off about when I got my previous job. I had been journaling off and on last year but I'm determined to journal at least weekly when I can. It's been fun to see my progress and journey in those 4 years. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you haven't considered writing in a journal, I wholeheartedly recommend that you do. You don't have to write personal stuff in there if you don't want to but I find that when I write uncensored I feel tons better. It's therapeutic and helps me sleep better at night without those constant thoughts running through my head. I'm the type of person who roles around in bed for an hour before falling asleep so it helps me unwind.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here you can see the filled pages. Since I had gone on a few trips, I gathered some paraphernalia from the trips and decided to put it in the pages. Probably not the best idea because they weren't really put in order in the pages that I journaled about the trips. Also because the pages are so full the magnetic enclosure no longer closes the book which kind of bothers me but I don't want to cut the enclosure off but for the future I may keep separate journals for trips. The random papers and receipts were sitting on my desk and I finally decided I needed to put them somewhere. haha</div>

Hey guys, decided to do a little real talk today. I've been feeling sick the last few weeks and I believe part of it is mental exhaustion and stress. Don't get me wrong, part of it is physical too as I've also had to take time off because I've been feeling feverish, achy, and have headaches which are rare for me. I literally took some night medicine and slept 15 hours, almost all the way through because I was so exhausted. The funny thing is that I ended up staying up 15 hours after I woke up because I had rested so much.<br />
<br />
I think I have the flu or something like that. I was feverish and had chills off and on during the week, I just thought it was the fluctuating temperatures where I'm at where it's been jumping between below freezing temperatures to 40 or 50 degrees Fahrenheit in the span of a few days. I know the flu has been going around all over the USA lately so it's possible I got some version of it but I feel like it has held me down. The flu and my negative mindset.<br />
<br />
Anyways, what I'm saying is to remember to give yourself grace.<br />
<br />
I know I've been giving myself a hard time with the new job because I wanted to show that I am a hard worker, am capable, and do my best. But that's all I need to do, do my best. If I'm constantly stressing myself out while I'm away from work, I don't give myself time to relax and enjoy my life. All this builds up into an explosion of stress and anxiety that I felt this past weekend.<br />
<br />
Now I don't believe this is the first time this has happened for me but this is the first time I've been actively aware of it. I'm generally an easy going person so minor worries don't typically bother me but as I've grown older, I realized that this anxiety has gotten worse. Part of it is the impostor syndrome and comparing myself to others my age but I constantly need to remind myself that I'm doing the best I can and am doing what makes me happy.<br />
<br />
Most people my age are further in their careers or have families. I'm not at that stage, not that I don't welcome it if it's the right time. It's just that my life is different and I know that there are things that they envy about my current life style. I have little responsibilities and I'm doing fine in my current role so far. Not that my friend's aren't doing well or what they wanted to do, but they have families to take care of now so it makes it harder for them to chase their dreams or to connect with them. But I'm struggling because I don't know if what I'm doing is right for me but I'm also afraid to chase after my dreams. I mean I am chasing my dreams but not full throttle like some people are and I admire them for going after their dreams.<br />
<br />
I want to write my novels, create art, and travel the world.<br />
<br />
These have been goals I've had for years. I've felt guilty for not being further along, for not working harder towards those goals when I wasn't working full time. Now I am working on those goals a little at a time while working a day job because I want the financial stability. I write or edit a little at a time during lunch or after work, I sketch when I can too, I'm making plans to go travel. Although those goals haven't been achieved quite yet, I'm making little steps to reach them. That's more than what I've done in previous years.<br />
<br />
Everyone is different, everyone's situation is different. Only you can decide what you can do or are capable of but do remember to be kind to yourself. Forgive yourself if you couldn't write that day because you weren't feeling well and decided to binge watch a TV show (I totally did that this past weekend). The writing will always be there waiting for you. Know that you're doing the best you can right now and as long as you're moving, even if it's slowly, you're doing the right thing to achieve your goals.<br />
<br />
Stay strong, give yourself grace, and chase after your dreams! Whether full throttle or a little at a time. As long as you're chasing them with the right mindset!<br />
<br />

Hey friends!<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div>
If you follow me on <a href="http://twitter.com/aisazia" target="_blank">Twitter </a>then, you know that I was looking to start a Patreon and I did it! Please check out my <a href="https://www.patreon.com/aisazia" target="_blank"><b>Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/aisazia)</b></a>! It's still going to be tweaked so some things may change as I adjust and get the hang of it. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Patreon, it's a subscription based system where a person pays to see special content from a creator depending on the reward tier you choose. You can always quit the subscription at any time.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I've created my page and have a few reward tiers up if you feel inclined to help support me. You're not obligated to join or pay, it's just a little extra that helps me out. I'm looking for any type of reward you'd like to see from me. So far I've got sketches and an option where you guys can help choose my next sketch subject. I'm open to any ideas that you guys would like to see!</div>
</div>
<div>
<b><br /></b></div>
<div>
<b>As I'm planning for 2018 for this blog, what kind of blog posts would you like to see from me? </b>I think posting a blog post every 2 weeks seems to be a reasonable schedule for me. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I've planned mostly progress blog posts to help hold me accountable but I'd love to hear if there's anything you'd like to see more of? Reviews? If so, of what? Life update blogs? I'm open to suggestions!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'd really like to get more organized this year and be able to produce more regular posts for you guys so please look forward to that!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'd love it if you guys could help share this post and comment! I know I get some views but I'd love to hear from you all and hope that I can help cater to what you'd like to see. Thank you for reading and sharing if you do so ahead of time!</div>

I'm alive!!!! See ya 2017, I'm so ready for 2018!<br>
<br>
2017 ended up flying by for me the last half of the year. Lots of things happened. Some good, some bad. It's all a roller coaster adventure with its highs and lows.<br>
<br>
<b>2017 highlights:</b><br>
<br>
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li>Got a new job! Started December 1 and so far so good! Still can't kick some of the habits I learned from the previous job but I'm working on it.</li>
<li>I'm getting used to wearing "fancy clothes" for my business casual work place. I use that term loosely. That means anything that isn't a t-shirt, sweatshirt, jeans, shorts, athletic shoes or flip flops. Depends on the season. For those who don't know, those are my go-to clothes and would be totally fine wearing that everyday.</li>
<li>Rediscovered my passions and what I want to do with my life. This is helping me set some goals for 2018. </li>
<li>Finished my latest sketchbook! Only took 5 years. haha But I'm proud to see the progress.</li>
<li>Figured out how I'm using some of my Traveler's Notebooks and pens! Instead of just collecting them and gazing adoringly at them on my bookshelf.</li>
<li>With the help of a dermatologist friend I'm finally able to manage my adult acne.</li>
<li>Realized I am fortunate enough to have pretty much everything I could want so trying not to buy any material things unless I truly need them.</li>
</ul>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
That's all I can think of at the moment. I may update the list later if I can remember anything else.</div>
<div>
<br>

Funny thing, I've gotten a new job! Still at the same company but it's a different department. Plus side is that it's closer of a commute so instead of about 40 minutes to an hour commute one way (depending on traffic) it should decrease to about 20-30 minutes. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Ok, so I totally meant to post this right after I heard I got my new job! Which was *cringes* about 8 months ago...But I ended up finding that working full time is a lot more tiresome than I expected. I knew there would be a transition but the longer I was there, and the more I learned, the harder it was to have energy to blog or do anything once I got home. Still enjoy the job but found my spare time was a lot more limited than I would like. The reason I am able to post today is because I took a day off. I've taken off other days but I remembered the blog today. haha I haven't forgotten you guys, just haven't had much to say.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I digress, I'll try to blog more frequently. Hoping for at least once a month, but more would be ideal. I just to keep you all in the loop since it looked like I disappeared off here but do follow me on <a href="http://twitter.com/aisazia" target="_blank">Twitter</a> as I'm more active there. Anyways, here's the post I was going to schedule but forgot and then didn't have time...Sorry guys!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyways, hope you all are doing great!</div>

Hey friends! Sorry I haven't been around. I've been meaning to update but I've been so busy with my new job! I am super ecstatic about it! I've been searching for a full time job for awhile so I'm feeling extremely blessed and fortunate for this opportunity. Unfortunately, it'll mean I'll have less time so I'm trying to enjoy what time I have while I can. That means sketching and working on my projects as well as spending time with my family. Check out below what I've been able to do for the Summer!</div>

Took some snapchats of my trip to Cedar Point with my family. Got a few people who smoked in line which is a non-smoking area. D:< If you couldn't tell, I despise the smell of cigarette smoke. I saw a few others but didn't have time to take a picture as I walked by them. Otherwise, had a great time and it wasn't as cold in the dark or as hot in the sun as I expected. Enjoyed the night shots, it was almost a full moon. :D<br>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Sorry for the lack of updates. I really need to get back into being productive with my work. Recently I've been fortunate enough to travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico this past Spring! It was lots of fun and I really enjoyed it. I went with my family and a friend so I wasn't alone. Here's a few glimpses of my travels. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had plans to wind down and write or sketch but that didn't happen as much as I had hoped since we were constantly moving more than I expected which was fine. We were there for a week and while it was drizzly and partly sunny, it didn't deter us from enjoying ourselves. I actually appreciated the clouds so I didn't have the opportunity to burn myself before my friend's wedding. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Her wedding was good! No major mishaps so I'd consider it a success. Most things went according to plan and other than a few minor downsides (cold weather where we had to wear a strapless dress and heels as well as a light rain) it went well. A lot of people didn't speak English so there were people rudely talking during the wedding ceremony and reception speeches. Other than that, I think it was good and I'm so glad it's over. Sorry, no pictures for that since it's a private thing but know that it was successful. Now I can focus on the things I want to do! AKA find a full time job and work on my art and writing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now on to the photos!</div>

Yikes! Sorry guys! Trying to get back into updating! Ok, so a few new things I want to mention since my latest update.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Updated my online store at <a href="http://aisazia.storenvy.com/">Storenvy</a>! </b>I now have buttons, stickers, a blank notebook, an ashcan sketchbook(limited quantity), and a minicomic(limited quantity), and my ORIGINAL ARTWORK. You know, if you're into that kind of thing. ^_~ I currently have everything 20% off! Use the code: <b>GrandReopening20 </b>at the checkout. Below are some of of the originals I have up for sale. I've used watercolor and colored pencil on them and they will be protected with a fixative.</div>

<br />
<b>I have updated my portfolio website domain </b>as I've recently learned about not renewing domains and it can be expensive, especially if you don't renew right away. Apparently you have to wait several months for it to be available again and since I didn't want to pay the redemption fee on top of the domain cost, I opt to wait. Learn from my mistake. Currently it's <a href="http://elhuey.com/">ELHuey.com</a> but I plan to buy back my previous domain which is <a href="http://eahuey.com/">EAHuey.com</a>.<br />
<br />
I'd like to redesign the website when I can figure out what I want to do for it. For now, it's fine as is but if there are any issues or problems you see and want to let me know, feel free to contact me (find my contact page) or tweet me (<a href="http://twitter.com/aisazia">@aisazia</a>)! I'd love to hear your suggestions.<br />

<br /></div>
<br />
I know <b>I missed my quarterly newsletter in December</b>. There were so many things that happened that distracted me, I just didn't have time to make it or update it. Truthfully, I also felt I didn't have too much to add to it either. Something I shouldn't have a problem with this coming newsletter.<br />

Hey guys! Been a long time! *glances at calendar and gasps* It's been about 4 months since I last blogged!<br />
<br />
I want to apologize for it! Lately, I've been doing more reading the last few months and updating my <a href="http://originiquequanimity.blogspot.com/">other blog</a> during the end of 2015 but this first quarter of the year has been lacking but I have a good reason for the last few months. Unfortunately I haven't been motivated to read now but I do want to get back into writing/sketching. No good reason why other than I hadn't been feeling like it but once I get started I don't have a problem finishing.<br />
<br />
I've been waiting on beta reader feedback and recently (in Feb) received all the expected feedback but now I've been too much of a chicken to go back in to read and revise. All the feedback are reasonable and makes sense, I'm just not motivated to dive in and revise which isn't bad, I'm just procrastinating. While waiting, I wanted to write in February but was only able to get under 6k written which sucks because my goal was 20k. Still, it's progress and better than nothing.<br />
<br />
Going to suck it up this month and go through my drafts and feedback when I can. Although, I already know that there is going to be a rehaul of the story including fleshing out characters and world. However, I realized this is going to be a busy month for me and know that it won't be possible. I wanted to do April Campnanowrimo this month but that already went belly up. Instead I decided I'll just read my current drafts and try to outline them if possible so it'll be a bit easier to revise.<br />
<br />
Last month I've been asked to be Maid of Honor for a friend but it turns out she wants her wedding in May so technically we have 2 months to plan it.<br />
<br />
<i><b>Yeah, you read that right. 2 months! </b></i><br />
<br />
So all the bridal shower/bachlorette, decorations, dresses, etc. Yeah, needs to be done soon. Like yesterday. Fortunately, we have the dresses and some of the stuff done but still have lots to do. I'm glad my friend is pretty laid back about things but that also can be hard when coming to making a decision. I feel like everything is going to be rushed so she won't be able to enjoy anything...Oh well...I'm happy for her and I'm going to do my darndest to make things as easy as possible for her when the day comes. Unfortunately, it looks like it's going to be an all day affair. Like get up at 6am and done at 11pm sort of deal. That is including travel time. *dies* Anyways, enough of that, just wanted to explain why I haven't been as active as I should have been. You can read more in my quarterly newsletters if you're interested.<br />
<br />
Just to add some visuals for you, I've been adding to my Traveler's Notebook collection...here are my latest acquisitions. :D I've bought and sold a few but didn't take photos as I knew I wouldn't keep them. My hopes is that I'll bring them with me and write/sketch as I go instead of relying on a computer to type things up and motivate me to sketch on the go more. Personally, I prefer handwriting my novels, I feel like I get a better flow of the story and easier to not go back and edit. Anyways, hoping these babies will get me motivated to write more. They are so pretty and feel amazing. *pets* Do you guys use them? If so, let me know! Share with me your social media so I can <strike>stalk</strike> follow you!<br />

<div style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
Decided to list some of my thoughts I've had during the week to give you a little more insight on my progress and/or struggles.</div>
<ul style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<li>Once I missed a day it seemed to snowball and I had the crazy idea that I could catch up. Technically it's true but was a close call and I didn't like feeling rushed at the end.</li>
<li>Even at 50k the story is far from over but I intend on finishing it later. Not sure if I'll do it in December yet.</li>
<li>Apparently I can more or less do 3-4k right before bed as long as I'm focused enough. Technically it's in a sitting or two as I do get up for breaks when I feel like it. Kind of proud about this and wished I was able to do that everyday. My record is about 6k in a day.</li>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br />
<br />
<b><u><span style="font-size: large;">End of the Month Thoughts</span></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;"><b>Total Words This Month:</b></u> 50,056</div>
<div style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-style: normal;">Surprisingly, </span><i><u>I'm not as burnt out from writing</u></i> as I've been in other months where I've written this consistently. Normally I need a few days or a week break between but I was ready to write on Dec. 1. I should have, but didn't. Whoops.</div>
<div style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-style: normal;">While typing is convenient, </span><i><u>I still prefer writing long hand</u></i> for stories and may attempt to do that in the future again. Maybe during one of the Campnanos. Gives me a better reason to write on the go or while I'm out. I realize I don't particularly enjoy writing on my phone. Autocorrect is my enemy.</div>
<div style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<br /></div>
Getting started is the hardest part for me when I begin a writing session but once I get going for awhile I tend to be able to pound words out fairly easily. As long as I know where the story is going. Fortunately, I did for this story so the <i><u>outline was extremely helpful</u></i> and I will try to do this for the future again.<br /><br />Glad this story is mostly done with but it does need fleshed out as I tend to write bare bones the first time around. I do need to go back to the first book and finish that story. <i><u>I also have to figure out the over-arcing themes and ideas over the entire series.</u></i> I want to know all the details before I go any further with the series so I know where it will eventually end.<br />
<br />
Overall, I'm fairly happy with how this month went. I stuck to my outline fairly well and didn't deviate too much. The outline helped when I got stuck on what to write about that day and I know I skipped a lot of transitions. <i style="text-decoration: underline;">Each plot point beat in my outline seemed to generate about at least 1k of words for me.</i> I technically had 20 beat points but some of those merged or I skipped in general so I think I did well. I made my goal for the moment and I know I'll have to add more to the story that I skipped or needs fleshed out.<br />
<br />
I'm proud of my win and hope to be able to use this to motivate myself to keep on moving forward and doing my best.<i><u> I do plan on doing Campnano next year but from now till the new year, my hopes are to do revisions and planning.</u></i><br />
<div>
<br /></div>
I hope you guys are enjoying reading about my progress of this series with me. Let me know what you think of these updates and what you'd like to see more of in the future!<br />

It frustrated me how they were so blind to Sammy and what an amazing kid he is because who knows. Sammy could have turned rebellious and did all sorts of incredibly bad or terrible things. He could have sunk into a deep depression. Yes, they were treating him but they weren’t there for him emotionally. <br />
<br />
Sammy needed people he could connect to, someone who would listen to his plights or problems. He needed to be guided and having the only people he could connect to be either a butler or locked in their offices didn’t help. He needed people who would be there for him no matter what. Put his needs before theirs and ultimately be a guardian to him. I knew the Fitzgeralds weren’t but I couldn’t quite figure out why that was because as far as I could see, they had a great life.<br />
<br />
Again, I don’t know their past troubles or what they’ve had to deal with but until I find out more about them, it’s better to stay under their radar. I wouldn’t want them to restrict our time together with Sammy because it wouldn’t kill just us, it’d kill Sammy too.<br />

<li style="font-style: normal;">I was so proud I was able to motivate myself to write almost all week when I didn't feel like it. Wrote so late though, right before bedtime so around 9 or 10 pm but it also meant I went to bed later than I expected.</li>
<li style="font-style: normal;">Really wished I kept up with Reverse Nanowrimo because I ended up getting busy during the holiday weekend. I could have wrote but ended up spending time trying to wipe my desktop (I use my laptop more) so I could possibly resell it.</li>
<li style="font-style: normal;">I missed one day and it snowballed from there.</li>
<li style="font-style: normal;">Am glad that my family isn't huge about holidays but I still need to spend time with them. Fortunately they didn't nag me as much as I thought for me spending so much time in my room again.</li>
<li>Whoops, posted this way late. Forgot to post it on Friday as I was still busy wiping my computer. <i>EDIT: Posted this before I finished this post. Sorry!</i></li>

“You keep those boys in line,” I said stealing another kiss. “Check up on Sammy too when you can.”<br />
<br />
“Of course,” he said and kissed me on the forehead then stepped back, “See you in a few days.”<br />
<br />
I walked back holding his hand as long as I could before I turned around and headed towards the line. Zadie and Amelia stared around pretending to not be watching Eddy and I but I knew they had and I didn’t care. They were already half way through the line so I’m glad I ended it there when I did. I turned back around halfway to them and saw Eddy there with his thumbs hooked on his short loops and I felt my heart stutter. I was still hopelessly in love with this man. I can’t believe that being away for only two days will already be this tough.<br />
<br />
By the time I reached Zadie and Amelia they were teasing me with their moony eyes and kissy noises which I could only roll my eyes at them and laugh. “Come on girls. Like you haven’t already found a guy who makes you swoon.”</div>

<li>Dropped the ball on updating this week. Good news is that I finally caught up and am back on track!</li>
<li>Forcing myself to start to write is working because once I'm in the groove the words start flowing easily. One day I hit 3k and didn't even realize it! I'm always pleased to see that happen.</li>
<li>I proudly was able to keep the word count up and exceed it some throughout the week to get me back on track. There were times I wasn't motivated but I stuck with it. </li>
<li>The thing about forcing myself is that I ended up staying up late which made me exhausted the next day which didn't help motivation which made it a terrible cycle of not being motivated then me being exhausted the next day. Set your priorities better than me.</li>
<li>Hoping I'll be able to keep it up this coming week as I know it'll be the holidays and the busiest time of the month for me.</li>

I remembered that he loved soccer but for now I decided that he didn’t need a reminder of what he couldn’t do right now but I had bought him a soccer ball which I hoped he would use one day in the future. Besides the basics I didn’t add too much of anything else because I wanted him to fill the rest of it himself. My hope is that he learns to show himself to us. Even though he has been little by little I know that there’s a part of him that he shut out from us and while I knew that it would be best to give him space I also wanted him to know that we’d be there to help catch him and help dust him off if he needed it.<br />
<br />
I bounced on my toes in excitement at how much I hoped he would love this room and love staying with us. I couldn’t stop the smile that found itself permanently tattooed to my face. The possibilities of raising him. Already I knew that he would grow into a magnificent young man. Just a few nudges here and there and he would live a healthy and fulfilling life.<br />

<li>HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13TH! </li>
<li>Have not been exercising. *hangs head in shame*</li>
<li>Not keeping up with the reverse Nanowrimo method as I had intended. I've fallen behind and have yet to catch up. I just need an over 3k day and I'd be caught up to the typical Nanowrimo standard.</li>

I looked around at the three, “Do you guys want to come?”<br />
<br />
Zadie gave me an apologetic look, “I’m busy doing something. I’m not sure if bombarding him with unfamiliar faces is a good idea right now.”<br />
<br />
Chase shook her head, “I already have some plans with Victoria. Can we get a rain check?”<br />
<br />
“Of course,” I turned to Dylan, “How about you?”<br />
<br />
Dylan half shrugged, “Let me check my calendar.” After a pause he nodded and grinned, “I’m free.”<br />
<br />
My lips twisted in false annoyance then remembered our current state of dress in pajamas, “Then get ready in five minutes.”<br />
<br />
Dylan took off yelling behind him, “You’re such a slave driver.”<br />
<br />
“You haven’t seen nothing yet boy!” I called after him.<br />
<br />
Chase and Zadie picked at the leftover bacon. I slid off the stool, “You know you two can stay as long as you want. Just make sure to clean up and lock up after you’re done.”<br />
<br />
They shared a look and nodded. Zadie shot me a winning smile, “Don’t worry. We’ll take care of everything.”<br />
<br />
I smiled as I glided up the stairs. Those two were up to something but I didn’t have the time to figure it out yet.<br />

<li>Tough to get motivated the first few days. Once I got in the rhythm I was able to get a good amount done. Wasn't able to do the Reverse Nanowrimo method as I had hoped but at least I'm on track for now.</li>
<li>I know I'm going to fall behind this weekend as I'll be out of town. Hope I can make it up afterwards.</li>
<li>Surprisingly wrote more than I thought I would for the first week. Almost 10k.</li>
<li>The writing this time around isn't as fluid or sophisticated as my previous stories. Soldiering on and will fix it with revisions. Trying to get the bones down.</li>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hey guys! I apologize for the lack of posts for over a month, nearly two months! Yikes! Just know that I've been trying to find a full time job so that has been my priority lately. I'm still trying to write and sketch but it has since been put to the side but I'm aiming to get back on that soon! Especially with Nanowrimo coming up! Going to try and get an outline finished for that!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I just wanted to thank you all so much for following me on my crazy creative journey. I noticed it's been awhile since I've posted a process post for you so I decided to do that today! This is something totally new that I started that I wanted to share with the hopes it might help someone else too! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you use it, let me know what you think and if you make any changes! I'd love to see what you did and if those changes to made it work better for you! My layout may not work for you and as this is a process, things will change but this is my basic layout.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Below is an example of a spreadsheet that I made on Google Sheets which is free and I can update or access it from anywhere. It's fairly self-explanatory.<span style="color: #cc0000;"> I list the <b>date of month </b>for the word count, the <b>project name</b>, then the completed <b>monthly word count</b>, the <b>total word count</b>, and the </span><b><span style="color: #cc0000;">writing level/draft.</span> </b>The last column is optional which I explain below.</div>

I had my suspicions something felt amiss, especially since Sedric didn't once take his eyes off the piece of paper with the pizza orders. He took the pad and walked to the far corner of the room, "I'm going to order the pizzas now. Last chance to change your orders."<br />
<br />
Chase and Dylan walked over to listen in on his order to make sure that he ordered correctly. Zadie walked over towards me, "That was odd, wasn't it?" I made sure that Sedric was preoccupied before nodding, "Yeah, I didn't trust them."<br />
<br />
"We tried to keep them away from your personal items," Eddy said, "But they were pretty slippery."<br />
<br />
"I appreciate it," I said taking a deep breath and releasing it, "I couldn't keep my eyes on them the entire time."<br />
<br />
Eddy leaned in, "We can do a sweep of your apartment before we go, to make sure that they didn't put any bugs or cameras in here." <br />
<br />
I nodded, "Thanks." Having them sweep the rooms would reassure me that they hadn't done or tampered with anything. Still I couldn't fight the chills that gave me goosebumps from having Griffith and Ottis in my apartment.</div>

Yikes, this month was not very productive at all! So many things hit me at once. I just couldn't get motivated to write. :( </div>
<ul>
<li>Started ok the first week but then I had to prepare for vacation the next week but we were leaving on this Saturday. I did not plan ahead and has last minute things to do before packing.</li>
<li>The 2nd week of the month was my vacation. I had a great time but we drove all day Saturday then the following Saturday on the way back. It made me exhausted. It took some time for me to recuperate and to unpack.</li>
<li>Don't really have a good excuse for the last two weeks other than trying to get readjusted to my normal schedule.</li>
<li>I did have some terrible back pain where it hurt to sit. I think it was something I ate but I have no idea what it was so that worried me.</li>
<li>I went to a local YA Author Festival which was fun on the fourth Saturday of the month.</li>
<li>Unmotivated to write I decided to read instead and that's been helping. Especially since I'm terribly behind on my TBR list.</li>
</ul>

Overall, not my best Wrimo but it's still better than nothing. I'll continue aiming to finish this story but looks like it'll take a little longer than I wanted. Also I'm hoping to get some revision and editing done in August. Not sure what projects or how that's going to work out yet but I'm thinking about it.</div>
